Kickoff for the MA TESOL Program

On 23rd November 2025, the online orientation session of the international joint Master’s programme in TESOL between Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 and Plymouth Marjon University took place in a formal and lively atmosphere, with the participation of Dr. Steve Disney, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhật – Dean of the Faculty of English, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hà Anh – Vice Dean of the Faculty of English, and 26 students enrolled in the programme.

At the beginning of the session, learners were introduced to an overview of Plymouth Marjon University, the programme structure, and international-standard assessment systems, providing them with a clearer understanding of the academic pathway ahead.

The orientation also witnessed active interaction as learners had the opportunity to directly exchange with professors from Plymouth Marjon University and experienced lecturers of the Faculty of English, who offered detailed guidance and addressed important questions related to the programme and its teaching approach.

By joining the programme, learners have the opportunity to study in Vietnam while earning a Master’s degree awarded by the United Kingdom. Notably, the programme also enables learners to gain hands-on teaching experience in the UK, thereby enhancing their professional competencies and broadening their international perspectives.

The valuable insights shared during the orientation session have provided learners with a solid foundation to confidently prepare for their academic journey and professional development in an international learning environment.
